Donate
As a charity, we rely on donations and funding to support our vital conservation work in the Cotswold Lakes.
Access to all our nature reserves and country parks is free, but we do not receive any local or national government funding to help us keep them in prime condition for your visit and for wildlife. We rely on donations for our charitable work in conservation, recreation and education.
Your support will help the Trust to maintain and enhance our sites across the Cotswold Lakes area including Cleveland Lakes and Shorncote Reedbeds, which cover 350 acres of wetland mosaic and are designated as part of the SSSI for their importance to breeding and winter birds.
You will also be helping projects such as Water Vole recovery, restoring suitable habitat for the declining European Glow-worms and increasing the number of healthy young Black Poplar, the UK’s rarest native hardwood tree.
With your support, we will ensure that this stunning wetland landscape can be enjoyed by generations to come.
Ways to donate
Gift Aid
Boost your donation by 25p of Gift Aid for every £1 of your donation by making a Gift Aid declaration. Gift Aid is reclaimed by Cotswold Lakes Trust from the tax you pay for the current tax year.
Please notify us if you want to cancel your declaration, change your name or address, or no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains.
How your donation could help
£10 pays for wildlife spotting guides for local schools
£20 pays for a pair of loppers to help manage habitat
£50 pays for waders that our Rangers need to improve our wetlands for wildlife
£100 pays for an instructor to teach a group of disadvantaged children watersports
We may use your donation towards a payment (known as a Third Party Contribution) to access larger amounts of funding through the Landfill Communities Fund. This means that every £1 you donate can be used to unlock £10 of additional funding towards our charitable projects. If you do not wish us to use your donation in this way, please let us know at info@cotswoldlakestrust.org
